Crane Field Laithe Reviews

Amanda
We had an amazing weekend, perfect location for both the walkers and the ones that just wanted to relax all weekend! Lovely little touches throughout the property and well equipped kitchen, thoughtful welcome hamper with home made brownies and fresh flowers was a lovely gesture. We will definitely be back
On Friday 22nd of November we all arrived at Cranefield laithe, 4 couples and a two year old. It was lovely, clean, warm and everything we hoped it would be and more. In spite of having to contend with storm Bert we had the most enjoyable stay. Fabulous facilities, layout and style and it felt like a home from home. The layout was perfect and the onsuite bathrooms were stylishly designed. The bedding and mattresses were also excellent quality. We throughly enjoyed the hot tub despite the freezing temperatures and the log burner was a comforting focal point. The local area is so beautiful and plenty of walks and cosy places to eat . Malham Cove is a must see. The local people were so kind and helpful. This was especially noted when storm Bert meant we couldnt risk getting back to our home for the weekend and a local guy who lives in the very quaint, Bell Busk was on his way home from the Bolton match and helped us to get to a safe point. Where our lovely host Racheal was more than happy to rescue us in her high, large wheeled 4x4 . We managed to get out for a beautiful Sunday roast in the Lister Arms too. So all was well and we continued to have a fabulous time till we left on Monday morning. We will return and we are already recommending to all who will listen.
Lovely place great location owners friendly

Everything was prepared in a way that guaranteed us a fabulous week! From the delicious home baked Brownies and welcome pack to the grace and comfort offered by this beautiful cottage.

A fantastic place to stay. Everything about the house was great for our large family group with young children. We felt completely at home and Rachael was very quick to respond to our very few queries and requests. Highly recommended.
We had a wonderful stay at Cranefield Lathe. The bedrooms and ensuite bathrooms were exceptional and the house was perfect well equipped and extremely comfortable with beautiful views over the fields. We loved it.
Elaine
It was beautiful barn conversion home. Fantastic holiday vacation for adults and children especially as a working farm with the animals coming up to the fence. It was a lovely touch with the hamper and home made brownies.
Philip
We couldnt fault the property or facilities and was ideal for our family celebrations! If I had to really look for something maybe a coffee pod machine would be a useful addition but then we are coffee addicts! The property was super clean and comfortable and we wouldnt hesitate to return. The welcome back was also fully appreciated and enjoyed by us all.
Lovely spacious barn surrounded by fields. Very comfortable beds and well equipped kitchen. A very generous welcome basket of goodies which we really appreciated and enjoyed. A very relaxing stay with sheep and cows for neighbours.
We just love this place. Nothing to fault. So welcoming. Very high speck throughout. Well be back x
Caroline
We loved our stay at cranefield laithe, the house was extremely well equipped, decorated to a high standard and very clean! The weather was wet for a couple of days but it didnt stop us exploring and having fun in the hot tub!! The lemon drizzle cake was delicious thank you
Jacqueline
Wonderful place to stay for our walking trip. ..................and relaxing in the hot tub after a strenuous day was perfect.
A superb spacious conversion well equipped and quality furnishings only minor criticism is that there is no facility to hang clothes in two of the bedrooms . Location is off the beaten track with superb views over fields and hills and we enjoyed reading a bit about the family history, and home made brownies in the welcome pack are superb A well deserved 5
Patricia
This was 2nd time we have been here . There were 7 of us ladies and we had a lovely time in the house . It has everything you need and the hot tub is brilliant. Rachel the owner can't do enough for you . I sent her her a msg asking if she had a hand blender we could use it was there within 5 minutes. We definitely will go again on the future.
Isobel
Super property, well equipped to a very high standard. Lovely views over the fields during lambing. Fantastic hot tub, made the holiday during a very wet, cold week.
Catherine
This is a beautiful home finished to a high standard, with absolutely everything you need for a break away. This was the third year we have been as a group of four couples. Each bedroom has its own bathroom so all have their own privacy. Plenty of seating for a large group to sit and chat in comfort. Time it right and the fields are full of lambs but whatever the season, to sit and forget yourself staring through the large windows at the view in the morning is most relaxing x Thoroughly recommend and will return ourselves too.
A wonderful cottage and place to stay. Beautifully presented and furnished. Thanks so much for the lovely holiday experience.
The barn is wonderful, all the facilities are great, the hosts are very
Dianne
Beautiful house well maintained, with a glorious view
Nicola
Fantastic property remote enough for privacy but well connected to the Yorkshire Dales, Lake District and even a cheeky visit to the Blackpool illuminations. Super comfortable beds that envelope you like enormous marshmallows and a well equipped kitchen. The hot tub was the icing on the cake!
Such a beautiful and well thought out property a wonderful welcome basket on arrival was a lovely touch. The hot tub was a huge hit especially as the owners took care of everything, popping in to look after it so all we had to do was enjoy it! Family pool tournaments kept us occupied as well as games up at the fabulous kitchen table. Great local walks, amazing local pubs for food The Lister Arms and Beck Hall were favourites meant we had the most amazing holiday! Thank you!
Elaine
A wonderful property in every way. Four bedrooms all with high quality ensuites isnt easy to find. The hot tub was always instantly hot and the large basket of logs ready for the super efficient log burner made everything so relaxing. We appreciated the lovely welcome hamper complete with millionaires shortbread which we enjoyed on glorious walks to Malham Cove and the Tarn and the fresh flowers on the table. Rachael was always on hand for any queries. The perfect way to spend a birthday with friends. The walk from Settle to Stainforth Fosse is also a great walk with salmon leaping in the river at this time of year. The Plough at Wigglesworth and Craven Arms at Giggleswick both very good for food but dont have the squid at the Plough unbelievably salty.
Beautiful barn in Gods own county. Everything you could possibly want and need for a fabulous family and friends holiday. Well equipped, with all fixtures and fittings at a very high standards.

Fantastic, quality accommodation in a stunning location.
A lovely property with everything needed. Comfortable beds
My party & I absolutely loved Crane Field Laithe. Would highly recommend and we will be staying again in the future. Lovely personal touches by the hosts, it was amazing. Thank you!
Andrew
Modern, spacious, clean with excellent facilities. Fantastic views of the Yorkshire Dales. Well positioned for walks from the property with the nearby Black Horse Pub, or for touring around. Lots of things to do locally, including steam train ride and canal boat hire. Kitchen spacious and well equipped. Dining table big enough comfortably for 8. Beds very comfortable. Nice to have the wood burner going in the evening.
We had a fantastic holiday at Crane Field Laithe. The location is perfect both for short walks from the door in stunning countryside, as well as for a base to explore the beautiful Dales. The property has been converted to an extremally high standard and is very well equipped, it's the perfect place for a relaxing getaway.
Catherine
This is the second time we've been to this cottage and looking at booking for next year too. The owner is close to hand and approachable but you are left in peace. The location is utterly tranquil and ideal spot for walkers, giving a wonderful location to relax after a day out. I would add that you probably need a car there aren't eateries or pubs within walking distance, but everywhere is within a 510 min. drive. We x4 couples love the place as all have lovely bedrooms that are ensuite. Few family games and a small pool table for entertainment in the evening, plus enough sofas and chairs for everyone to lounge on. One of our group, when chatting one evening said how usually when he comes to places like this he thinks what he would change as do I, pretending if I could live there but couldn't find anything. It is one of the nicest places I have booked for our group.
Excellent accommodation, we all enjoyed our stay. Great place for a family get together, will certainly consider a return visit when we have the opportunity.
The cottage was gorgeous and we have already booked for next year. A few things that would have made the stay even better would have been some blinds in the living room, as the sun was quite blinding when sat in the living room. Surround sound as depending on where you say you couldnt really hear the tele but with a kid in the main room we could do it to load. It being dog friendly too as we had to leave ours behind and its such a walking area wished our dog could have come.
Catherine
Crane Field Laithe had all our needs met in comfort and with a beautiful location. We were a party of 7 adults, my mother disabled, so the ground floor ensuite was ideal and something we were specifically looking for. It was well supplied with all you could need in the kitchen for cooking a full Christmas dinner we have found other cottages sometimes dont provide adequate equipment and serving dishes. The washer and dryer came in very handy for soggy and muddy walking clothes and the hot tub was amazing! The multi fuel stove was a godsend and really kept the communal living spaces toasty. Carne Field Laithe is in a beautiful area of the Dales, perfectly positioned for walks straight from the door and wider explorations. The Lister arms in Malham was recommended in the cottage book and we can thoroughly endorse it too! Thank you for a Christmas to remember!
The property was perfect for the six of us. The bedrooms, all with ensuites, were very comfy and spacious and we all slept really well. The lounge had plenty of comfy seating and a great view. The hot tub was a large one and the pool table was a real bonus. We are avid cooks and we found the kitchen had everything we needed, couldnt fault anything and would happily book again. A lot of thought and effort has gone into making the house a great holiday home and we really appreciated it.
Susannah
Thank you for allowing us to stay in your beautiful home. Everything was perfect and we will definitely return in the future. Thank you for the very generous welcome pack and all the little extras dishwasher tablets, bathroom toiletries, wood for the stove, blankets, board games and more that helped make our stay so easy and enjoyable. We loved the rural location and the layout of the house. We just wished we could have stayed longer!
