Fogga Croft Cottage Reviews

The property was a bit tired and disappointed in the level of storage available in the bedrooms. One had no storage at all which isnt ideal for two adults sharing a room for 3 nights.
5 couples on our yearly get together found the Fogga property ideal for our needs with some lovely walks and and a little trip to the bar Coniston Spa Hotel. Ideal for groups looking for relaxation and chil as we did.
Very helpful

Beautiful house for 60th birthday celebrations. Only think near busy road and traffic noise can wake you in the morning. But perfect house for our group celebration.
Pamela
Fogga Cottage is a lovely, well equipped holiday cottage. We were a party of 8 adults and 4 children aged 2yrs to 11yrs. Check in was straight forward and the hotel staff very helpful. Any issues were dealt with promptly. The hot tub was a big hit with the family. The only small suggestion we have is that instructions are provided on how to use the hob none of us had ever come across an induction hob with controls like that before!. Other than this, everything was great.
Amanda
Fogga Croft is a beautiful well equipped cottage which perfectly suited our group.
All was very lovely although the checkout time of 10am seemed very early. The option of a later checkout would enhance the booking and make the last morning more enjoyable by not feeling so rushed.
The cottage was lovely and well maintained. There were lots of comments about how comfortable the beds were. We were a bit short of fridge space and an extra fridge in the utility room would have been an added bonus. The only problem we had was with the hob controls. There was no real guidance and we couldnt make it work. However, when I rang the hotel two young chefs hurried over and showed us how to run our fingers round the centre which was good but we found it difficult to operate all week. The road noise was annoying during the night but all in all we had a lovely time in a very comfortable cottage in a beautiful place.

Great Weekend in Well Equipped cottage Very convenient for the Coniston Cold Hotel & Spa and although just off the A65 no intrusive road noise. Facilities all as described and nice welcome packs & spa toiletries. All rooms were of a high standard and the hot tub was a real bonus used it even in October.
Christopher
Ideal venue for family party. Overflow fridgefreezer would be helpful In utility room. Which would also benefit From direct external access
We had a lovely stay at Fogga as a group of 11 adult friends or twelve, we had two people change places midweek and the hotel were great at providing us with fresh bedding to facilitate this! The kitchen could do with a few small improvements like not providing oven trays that are too big to fit in any of the ovens !, providing some silicon utensils rather than the metal ones that have clearly damaged the frying pans, and replacing the missing fridgefreezer drawers. The electric hob also took some getting used to as to controlling it! We found just having one big room as dinerlounge to be a little close with so many of us, but it was a lovely space otherwise and the hot tub and BBQ outside were very much enjoyed. One other small flaw was the downstairs king room has a door to the outside in it, which means it has emergency lighting which glowed green all through the night and made sleeping difficult for those in that room! We think it was just the little light to show the emergency lighting was working, so this could perhaps be remedied somehow? The main hotel across the road has a gorgeous lake to walk round, and we enjoyed booking a slot at the spa and making use of the facilities there for a discounted rate as guests. Gargrave coop was just down the road for any little bits we needed and Gargrave was another lovely place for a walk. Skipton was also worth a day trip to see the town and castle. Overall we had a fabulous week, thank you!

Lovely cottage and staff for key collection and drop off at hotel very attentive and helpful

The cottage was lovely and perfect for a chilled family get together we would definitely love to return perfect location for exploring the area and the hot tub was a great hit Our only comment would be the information reads that the rear garden is enclosed but it is not and does lead to the main drive and road
Lovely cottage, clean and very warm. Kitchen is well equipped, lots of baking trays but unfortunately many of them were too big for the oven! Plenty of towels and robes. Big utility room, perfect for wet coats and muddy shoes! Hot tub was brill! Perfect location, would recommend and will probably rebook. Staff were very friendly and helpful.
Michael
The people at the hotel were able to respond very quickly to our very minimal requirements. The house was exactly what we hoped for and we enjoyed our stay. As a matter or routine the hotel even sent over engineers to check the jacuzzi each day which we did use once and was excellent.
Matthew
Property was spacious and modern, rooms were big and good facilities provided. One bedroom floor was so creaky you couldnt move without waking up the people in the room below. Hotel didnt inform us there was a wedding at the hotel so music played into the night and there was fireworks and we had taken a dog and a baby so it would have been good to know as I couldve put my baby in a room away from where the noise was had I known.
The cottage did not meet our expectations.

We had a fabulous week at Fogga Croft the rooms were all spacious, the kitchen was very well equipped and the towels, dressing gowns and toiletries made it all extra special. I have already recommended it to my friends. The staff on reception were very polite and helpful and the hot tub service staff came round every day. My grandson loved the conker tree right outside the property and we spent ages collecting many many conkers! It was a perfect place to spend time with my family celebrating my big birthday. Nearby Gargrave is a lovely village with a great cafe, fish and chip takeaway and restaurant and coop. We also had amazing takeaway pizzas from a nearby pizzeria too. Skipton is a lovely market town to visit and Grassington wasnt far either.
We had a wonderful time celebrating my husband's 80th birthday. The rooms are perfect and finished to a high standard. All of the cottage was well equipped and very comfortable. The hot tub was a great success. Just one little niggle, A gate at the back would be an asset for the safety of pets and children.
A beautiful cottage set within beautiful grounds of Coniston Estate and Spa. The Hotel amenities were fantastic and very welcoming of dogs which were great for our family group. Lovely welcome touches of Bread, biscuits etc as well as Prosecco for our first night. The walks around the surrounding areas were fabulous, Malham Cove and the waterfalls very much worth a visit. Food at local pub, Masons Arms highly recommended as well as warm welcoming hospitality. A great holiday spent with family and friends.

We found a baby rattle under the dining table. And hoover up the first day. So cleaning needs addressing. But cottage lovely
Great to be able to spend time with family in this lovely part of the country. All went very smoothly and staff at Coniston Hotel were very helpful. The cottage is very comfortable with good sleeping and bathroom facilities. Its great to do the walks round the Coniston estate as well as enjoy meals at the hotel, where we were made to feel very welcomed. Thank you.
Stayed here for a family catch up following all the lockdowns. 12 adults and 1 dog in the party and there was plenty of room for everyone. Hot tub was well used and really pleased to see that it was cleaned and inspected daily. As in previous comments the property grounds are open and it is on the A65 so need to ensure that pets dont wander off to the road. Only thing suggestion to improve would be more mugs plates etc especially if eating in most of the time. All in all a great place to stay
Lovely stay at an excellent cottage, great area with all necessary facilities would happily book again!
Had a family break to Fogga Cottage , the cottage was very comfortable, lovely rooms, comfortable beds, odd scuffs but to be expected, the hot tub was brilliant , the Hotel staff were very friendly and the meal we had In the hotel was very good. The back garden could do with a small fence to keep kids and dogs in .
Samantha
Fogga cottage was beautiful beyond what we expected. The hotel staff across the road were very helpful and made our stay one to remember. The restaurant across the road added the extra touches to our stay. The cottage was clean, kitchen was equipped with essentials and very clean. The hot tub was massive and we enjoyed it. The living area was spacious and the open fire was one not to forget. We also loved how all the bedrooms had their own bathrooms. Outstanding cottage, outstanding location. We will definitely return. Thank you.
