The Old Corn Store Reviews

Theresa
We had a lovely 3 night stay with our dogs. The place itself was cosy and comfortable, the hot tub was amazing with lovely views. The owners were friendly and very helpful. Would definitely recommend and would book again in the future!
Sykes cottages the company gets a low score, I tried to get in touch with them just after I booked to get clarification on a couple things and got no help whatsoever, customer service from Sykes was terrible. The holiday home itself 5 so comfortable, has everything you could need and the scenery is to die for. Owners were lovely and even had a nice surprise of some fresh eggs in the morning. There really isn't much I can fault with this holiday let. Garden is nice and secure for the dogs and it's lovely to see all the farm animals around and the inside is super relaxing and comfortable. I would 100 recommend
This was such a lovely property with such lovely hosts, perfect relaxing break with everything you could possibly think of! If anything I think the property was more spacious than the pictures. Would definitely revisit for a break, gorgeous views!
Rachel
Really lovely cottage and would highly recommend. Loved the location, bed was super comfy, facilities were great and the hot tub was a real treat. We did find the access road really really bumpy which could cause a problem for a low slung car. Our only other issue was that we couldnt get it cool enough for us at night despite trying to turn off the heatingthere are worse problems to have but it did result in restless nights. Otherwise really wonderful place and would highly recommend.
A very comfortable and well equiped lodge. Nice touches where the inclusion of shower and hand wash products, large towels and the Christmas decorations. Very good hot tub although the chemicles used here, stripped the blue dye out of my swimming shorts and they are now, pink....nice. Air suorce heating works well with heated floors. Good shower. Large comfortable bed. Everything we needed in the kitchen. The only problems we encountered where the tv signal is poor and we found that most channels dropped out and pixelated. Channel 4 was the only one, watchable. Wifi was also poor and was unusable for most of or stay. When it did work my laptops sortware kept reporting that the wifi system security was not secure as it was out of date.
This was a lovely place. I didn't need anything. The Pressco ,milk and hot drink were a great surprise. Both me and the dog enjoyed the walks, peace and tranquility. Having the field to exercise the dog is a good idea. It was lovely seeing all the donkeys, alpacas, ducks peacocks everyday. I went to chill and recharge and it worked. Nothing beats a glass of pressco, while in a hot tub watching fireworks in the valley below
Had a lovely stay with our dogs. The location is excellent and The Old Corn Store is a perfect base, a home from home. The views are amazing and we loved the hot tub. We visited Haworth, walked to the Bronte waterfall and went to Harrogate. We used the hot tub on three occasions which was a lovely treat. We would definitely recommend the Old Corn Store to our family and friends.
We had a fantastic week at The old Corn store. A great use of space for a 1 bedroom cottage, with the added bonus of a hottub. Spectacular sunsets. Hope to book a return trip soon.

Warm friendly welcome, welcome pack much appreciated,Idyllic location, very ... Warm friendly welcome, welcome pack much appreciated,Idyllic location, very relaxing clean and very dog friendly all in all a great place for a break
Lovely place. We were expecting good things from this property, however you exceeded our expectations. A lot of care and thought had been put into everything from the decor no skimping on quality here to providing everything a guest could possibly want. The cottage was spotless and always warm. The hot tub was lovely too I need to remember to take my jewellery off next time though it went a funny colour. Youll never know how appreciated the welcome pack was wed a bad experience in a different cottage where the owner never even left a teabag, drop of milk or a match for the fire!. This was so very kind of you. The views were amazing, and we hadnt realised that you had such an array of lovely animals. We had a problem in that my partners son was sprung on him last minute, however you were very accommodating and allowed him to stay the one night on the sofa. Thank you so much it dug us out of a hole. We will need to plan a return visit.
Beautiful location, lovely cottage. If you want complete peace and tranquility then this is the place to go! It was just what we needed, an escape away from everything. The milk and prosecco was a lovely touch, but the 2 fresh duck eggs on our first morning were amazing. Highly recommend
Gillian

Absolutely idyllic setting. Jo and Stu are lovely hosts and will introduce you to their animals, and are full of suggestions on where to go. I will definitely go back.
Kenneth
Had a great time lovely view over the valley . all the staff were very helpful and it was nice to see all the different animals instead of cowspigs etc. being a bit unstable on my legs i did not uses the hot tub but i still enjoyed my stay. ken
Had a lovely peaceful stay here, was the perfect base for exploring little villages and finding nice walks with the dog. Hot tub was amazing and unlike most hot tub holidays it was so private which is the main reason we would definitely book again. Kitchen has everything you need as does the bathroom even shampoo and conditioner so we can pack lighter next time! Being surrounded by all the animals makes for a wonderfully relaxing time. Thanks so much
We have had such a lovely stay at the old corn store, lovely setting , fabulous animals to entertain us
Jessica
This is a beautiful little place, we have been to a few holiday lodges, and this has been our favourite so far, will definitely be back, the rooms are clean and well decorated to suit the surroundings like having your own little farm house all the facilities you could need are there for your stay too. We took our 2 dogs with us and they both loved there stay. You can even arrange to see the farm animals, this was amazing all the animals on are the farm are so beautiful and loving, definitely and experience we wont forget, thank you to the owners this weekend its just want we needed to get away.
Pascal
Gorgeous stay at old corn store cottage! Was equipped with everything you could possibly need, great parking space right next to your lodge, powerful shower and comfy bed. It also had tv in living room and bedroom, very spacious and good storage space. The owners Jo&Stuart was lovely and made a effort to show us the animals of a morning and you could go on a tour throughout the day, we go to log cabinscottages all over the Uk and can honestly say we will be returning back here! Also to mention the views, wow unbelievable of the moor and a great location 510 minutes from Asdasainbsurysb&m etc. Will defiantly return.
Nicola
Lovely place owners are so friendly will definitely be back. It was very relaxing and the views are stunning.
Really nice cottage on a lovely farm. The hottub was fab and so we're the views. Hosts were also very welcoming. Only changes I'd make is the oven didn't heat very well as it's not fan assisted, also no buttonspictures to tell you what settings they were so might need replacing or some clearer instructions on how to use. No baking trays so made cooking difficult. No pepper or washing up liquid so missing a few basic amenities. Likewise the fridge didn't get very cold. Everything else was perfect and the potholes have been fixed.
We had a lovely 2 nights stay in the cottage. It was very well equipped and had everything we needed. Did have a slight issue trying to work out the oven however got there in the end. Hot tub was lovely and in a really nice spot. The bottle of prosecco and milk on arrival was a very nice touch hosts were very friendly and accommodating. The farm was great and nice to watch the animals whilst sat in the hot tub! We visited the bay horse pub for food and had a lovely meal there would deffo recommend. The lane down to the farm wasn't great huge pot holes so would advise driving very slow! Not sure who owns this land probably not the hosts. Overall though a really nice stay thank you and we will definitely return
What an amazing time weve had up in West Yorkshire for my 23rd birthday. Me and my Fiance enjoyed 3 nights up in the picturesque The Old Corn Store. We didnt speak much to the hosts but we were welcomed warmly and greeted with a morning when we bumped into them. They accommodated very well for our dog with a paddock at the back for him to run around in. The cottage was very warm, clean and comfortable. The location is perfect, overlooking the town below and at night in the hot tub offered some relaxing views. We visited Haworth and Skipton which offer a wide range of Dog friendly pubs and cafes. Great facilities within the lodge with ovens and hob, fridge freezer and even a dishwasher and an extremely spacious shower. Overall it was just so relaxing and enjoyable which was something we wanted to do on this break. Were not ones for normally going back somewhere when weve been no matter how joyous it may have been, because we like to explore other places. However, we will be making an exception in this case and will hopefully be back before the year is out. Thankyou so much to the owners for having us and for the Prosecco on arrival too. Very classy touch.
Cosy well equipped cottage. Storm Isha hit during our visit so unfortunately we had to hunker down and didn't have chance to use the facilities, nor walk to a local pub. Area is quite hilly so probably need to be reasonably fit to walk back up from Keighley. Hot tub is quite exposed. Enjoyed a reasonably sheltered walk around Ogden reservoir.
Catherine
Lovely converted barn, very cosy, good amount of appliances, very warm and cosy stay!
Joseph
The Old Corn Store was the first holiday myself and my husband went on together when we had only been dating a few months and this visit was our 2nd stay at the property for our 2nd wedding anniversary! . We received a warm welcome from the hosts bubbly, milk and biscuits was a lovely touch and very welcome after a long drive from Scotland! The cottage is lovely amazing views, hot tub and has everything you need for your stay. It was also fun to see the animals on the farm there are often helpers around on the farm so just ask them and they are more than happy to let you visit the animals. Only gripe would be that we were waaay too warm the first night however, my husband spoke to the hosts the following day and turns out there was another thermostat hiding behind a curtain that we hadn't seen problem solved! Only other thing I would say is that the road leading to the farm is very potholey and could do with a repair. This cottage is ideal for couples and a dog we took our little dog with us too. Recommend going to the moors for a walk. Also recommend going into Haworth we actually spent most of our time there when we were out. A few dog friendly eateries worth a mention Haworth Old Hall owners are a delight and very tasty food, the Hawthorn amazing steaks from charcoal grill, The Fleece Inn yummy pies. Also worth popping to the chocolate shop in Howarth and picking up a box of their signature salted toffee and coconut oil truffles shop is not dog friendly but the lady working there is lovely. Thank you for a wonderful stay and we cannot wait to return again! Nikki, Joe and Snoopy x
Neville

My fianc and I had a lovely staycation with our dogs at the Corn Store, it was just what we needed. Amazing views, great hot tub and a great base camp close to amazing towns, villages and pubs.
Such a gorgeous property in a beatiful location wish we had booked to stay longer !
Our stay was enjoyable and relaxing. The views were stunning. Animals a bonus. The only downside was the access road to the property. That said we would happily return.

Our stay at the old corn store was lovely! Its a great base for exploring and seeing and hearing all the animals is such a bonus. If you dont like waking up early then bring ear plugs for the cockerel! The hot tub was so enjoyable after a long day walking and the bed was really comfortable. Wed love to stay again!
The property was lovely clean bed very comfy bathroom very clean overall will recommend to friends and family. Very good view from patio over the hills and onto the estate very good working farm

A really lovely place to stay warm, comfy & with everything you needed including coffee, tea, milk. Added bonus with the hot tub. Stuart was really helpful suggesting a lovely nearby pub for a drink & food. Would definitely recommend the Old Corn Store for couples to stay.
Beverley
Beautiful cottage, stunning views, lovely hosts, great location and getting to interact with and feed the animals was a real treat. Relaxing and peaceful surroundings and the hot tub was wonderful . Nice walks and just a short drive to Haworth. Highly recommended
Daniel
We stayed here for a new year break to get away and relax after a busy festive period and was just what we needed. Cottage was warm and cozy inside with great views over the hills into Keighley, and the hot tub was an added bonus. Jo and Stu the owners let us feed the animals with them which was a great experience. There were Alpacas, donkeys, goats, a pig, peacocks and even some wallabies. Unfortunately the front door broke due to the high winds on the first day however Stu was straight out to fix this and was very understanding. This did not spoil the holiday at all. What a great place and would definitely come back .
We had a great time. The hosts were lovely, the place was clean and bigger than we expected. Lots of lovely animals around the place which the hosts will introduce you too. A lovely walk down the hill into the town, very doable in wellies. We also took the steam train across to Haworth which was great! We will definitely be back!
Nicholas
We were really happy with our stay
