Pickles Hill Cottage Reviews

An absolutely lovely stay at pickles cottage. A lovely quaint cottage with gorgeous original features with lovely decor to compliment this. The hot tub is a wonderful addition. The owners made our experience just perfect, they were extremely accommodating and generally lovely to communicate with. We will definitely return. Thank you again, Amy, Jake and Dougie xx
Bijou character cottage perfect for our stay. Loved the stone and beams, not over facing, very empathetically done. Loved the window seat, furniture and all the soft furnishings, again not in your face, simple but classy, sophisticated. The hot tub was very welcoming not only to start our day, but to relax at the end of the day. Enjoyed breakfast in Haworth at Cobbles and Clay dog friendly and good service.
The property is quaint and cosy with lovely fon
The fire, which is shown in pictures implies that its in use. It isnt. One of the reasons of picking it was for the log fire. The bed is incredibly squeaky and loud, even when moving slightly. The shower wobbles around a lot and isnt attached to the wall well. Otherwise its a nice country cottage, just disappointed in a few things.
Spencer
Welcome treats were a lovely touch, beautiful views, great location. Hot tub completes the chill vacation.
Nice cottage, quite remote, some good walks from the doorstep. Pub 10 min walk uphill, 5 min back home. The hot tub was fantastic to rejuvenated after a day of rambling.
A very well looked after and fab cottage, could have stayed longer! Will recommend and go again!
Heather
Lovely comfortable cottage, delightful surroundings and easy location for walks. Bonus was the excellent pub The Grouse, just up the road with stunning views. Definately would stay there again.
Geraldine

Charlotte
Pickles hill cottage was so clean and cosy we loved our stay here. The area is so picturesque and would definitely recommend the Grouse inn pub literally 5 mins away from the cottage. The owner Leanne messaged on the morning of our stay and also during to make sure everything was ok. Thank you we loved it
We both loved this cottage, it was super comfy. The sheep at the kitchen window,I'm sure one winked at me. The area is stunning. After a good day out, the hot tub just relaxed us both, then a good night's sleep in a very comfortable bed. The little things made this cottage. Great hosts.
Pamela
We absolutely loved this cozy, high class, countryside setting, cottage. Especially looking out the kitchen window to see our friendly sheep. There are nice dog walks right outside the door. A really nice restaurant right up the road within walking distance. Unfortunately, our trip was cut short due to personal reasons but I would highly recommend this wonderful space, complete with hot tub. It is close to so many holiday opportunities with the Bronte museum within a short distance. You will have everything you need, all the comforts of home and then some. Leanne, the owner is especially helpful and attentive. Would love to come back! Full marks for value for money. Just fabulous!
Helena
Had a great stay at Pickles Hill Cottage, it is such a lovely cosy cottage and the hot tub is just what you need after a long walk! Theres also a pub just a short walk away and the lovely village Haworth which is only a 5 min drive or 40 min walk away. Leanne gave recommendations of places to visit on our welcome message which was super helpful, as we booked a last minute getaway so hadnt planned what we were going to do. She even left use some brownies on check in and let us check out slightly later which was really appreciated. Would definitely recommend the cottage to family & friends. Thanks again for a lovely stay!
Andrea

A lovely countryside property with hot tub, ideal for walking and exploring the local area
Worst holiday cottage we have stayed in. Could not open key box on arrival.carpets stained, had no heating or hot water had to hunt the boiler eventually found it in the laundry room turned the boiler up.the laundry room was a fire hazard stuff all over the floor.the double bed was noisy everytime you moved.contacted the owner leanne with the complaints who is not a decent person who will listen.we actually stayed 3 nights instead of 7 worst unhappy holiday ever seeking 300 refund.
Beautiful and cosy home from home. Well equipped cottage, centrally located to visit lots of interesting places. It has a lovely pub that does excellent food within walking distance. The owners are always on hand if anything is needed without being intrusive. The hot tub is a relaxing bonus. This is a gorgeous cosy cottage with a fab hot tub in a beautiful area, short walk to a pub that also serves good food. Lovely walks to Bronte falls. Haworth isn't far away and is a lovely place to visit. The owners are so helpful and kept in touch by messaging checking everything was ok and helped us out when we had an issue that was nothing to do with the cottage. We would definitely return and highly recommend. Everything was as described.

Christine
We enjoyed our time at Pickles Cottage. It's in a convenient location and was clean and comfortable. The hot tub was welcome.
The cottage was very cosy clean and very comfortable with beautiful views of the surrounding countryside. Very well equipped. The toaster did appear to be broken and the lights in the lounge were not very bright. There appeared to be three bulbs missing just a little glitch Overall very satisfied and had a lovely weekend
Sharon
This is a lovely, cosy, spotless, well maintained cottage. We had a very enjoyable stay. The hot tub is a perfect way to relax after a long walk with our dog, Louis. The welcome gifts were much appreciated. I would recommend Pickles Hill cottage without hesitation. Thank you for a lovely stay!
Beverley
Lovely cosy cottage. My husband, myself, my sister and the dog stayed for a week, and had a wonderful time. Cottage had everything we needed and more. Lovely and clean. 1 evening the lights went out and Jonny was round to fix them within 30 mins. Jonny and Leanne were perfect hosts. So funny being eye to eye with a sheep, while washing up. Perfect Location, we went to Haworth, Harrogate and Skipton, as well as a trip to Manchester for the Coronation Street Experience. We would love to come back,
Charlie
Lovely cottage with everything you need in a beautiful location. Grouse Inn and Hawthorn are not far away with gorgeous food as was the afternoon tea at Cobbles and Clay, all recommended by Leanne and Johnny.
This is an absolute gem of a cottage in a gorgeous location the hot tub really is the cherry on the top. We had a fabulous stay here as a family of 3 one 4 year old child and can't rate the cottage highly enough. It was spotlessly clean and had everything we needed for a great holiday. The cottage itself feels very rural especially with the sheep watching you cook your breakfast through the back window and is small enough to feel cosy but big enough to house 3 people comfortably. There is a 30 minute walk into Oakworth with lovely views, and our little boy managed the walks nearby very well. The local pub The Grouse is also top notch and only 10 minutes walk down the road. The hosts are also very kind and helpful. Honestly one of our favourite places we have ever stayed in the UK.
Enjoyable stay at Pickles cottage. Comfortable, clean, well equipped, and beautiful views. Lots of places to visit and explore within a short drive.
Safeera
We had a fantastic stay and enjoyed our time very much. The owner was an absolutely amazing person who left us a beautiful bouquet as she knew we just got married. This really made our stay extra special. The cottage is perfect and has lots of room as well as a hot tub outside that we very much enjoyed. I would definitely recommend and will be returning soon
Pickles Hill Cottage is a home away from home. Spotlessly clean, very comfortable and the owners are on hand on the rare occasion you may need them. Everything is provided for a relaxing break and there is even a great pub The Grouse within easy walking distance should you not wish to cook every night. The hot tub is an added bonus to ease aching muscles after a longor short! walk. I would recommend this cottage to anyone needing a break away from it all for a while. Thanks to Leanne and Johnny for providing this little gem of a cottage.
Heather
A really lovely cottage in a great location. It had everything we needed for a comfortable stay, everything has been thought about and provided for. Very warm and cosy being up on the moor, wuth amazing views. The hot tub is the added bonus after a long walk from the doorstop. So many amazing walks, steam train and bus route nearby. Close to beautiful Haworth and so easy to get to other local towns. Would recommend this cottage without a doubt.
Tracey
My daughter and I had a wonderful stay at pickles hill cottage. Leanne was the perfect host and even brought us some chocolates and hot cross buns for our arrival
Lovely little cottage. Well equipped. Leanne was very welcoming. The Grouse inn only a 5 min walk from cottage which serves lovely food and great views. Haworth only a few minute drive away. This cottage is ideal for a relaxing weekend or week. Would highly recommend
Enjoyed our stay at Pickles despite the weather. Would stay there if returning to the area.
Lovely, cosy cottage in a beautiful location in West Yorkshire. Seeing the sheep every day by the kitchen window was a fantastic bonus and we felt very close to nature. Great location to lots of amenities and local towns, such as Haworth and Keighley. Lots of beautiful walks nearby, especially Bronte Waterfall and Top Withins. Very attentive hosts who dealt with requests promptly.
Nicely decorated, comfortable and with all amenities for a short stay.
